Original Fear Factory members Dino Cazares (guitar) and Burton C. Bell (vocals) alongside bassist Byron Stroud (who played on the last two FEAR FACTORY albums in addition to touring and recording with STRAPPING YOUNG LAD and ZIMMERS HOLE) and legendary drummer Gene Hoglan (DETHKLOK, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, DARK ANGEL, DEATH, TESTAMENT) — will release its new studio album, “Mechanized”, on February 9, 2010 via Candlelight Records.
Regarding “Mechanized” musical direction, Bell says, “It has the raw aggression of what ‘Soul Of A New Machine’ was but it has… I would say it has the maturity of ‘Obsolete’. When I say ‘maturity,’ I mean that it has the songwriting skills that ‘Soul Of A New Machine’ did not have whereas ‘Obsolete’ did.”

From our friends at Blabbermouth. SLAYER will perform on ABC-TV’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday, November 4 (which will actually air the morning of Thursday, November 5).
World Painted Blood is scheduled for release on November 3 via American Recordings. The CD will initially ship with four special collector’s edition covers. Each of the four covers will display one-fourth of a provocative continental map illustrated with human skulls and bones; when placed together, the four images form a complete and grisly map of the world.

LAMB OF GOD recently welcomed Billy Milano from SOD onstage to perform the classic “United Forces”.
Commented LAMB OF GOD drummer Chris Adler: “We were honored to share the stage with a legend. Billy and S.O.D. are our roots and I’ll remember this moment forever.”
Stated Billy Milano: “To share the stage with LAMB OF GOD was fucking amazing. It was a life-changing experience. Watching the video on YouTube, I couldn’t believe the size of the stage I was on. I don’t want to say it was the highlight of my career, but it truly was a milestone. Words are escaping me while trying to describe this event, which is strange, since I never shut the fuck up.”
Watch and enjoy.

If there is one thing fans of Ozzy Osbourne have learned is that never take what he says too seriously. I mean why make a new Black Sabbath record when he can make a jackass of himself with a Osmond like comedy show. His wife is to blame for that awful one episode train wreck.
In a recent interview with the Birmingham Post (U.K.) he said of a reunion with Sabbath, “I never say never anymore. Just not right now. If something came up and it was worth doing it’d be stupid not to do it.”
Come on man Geezer will teach you how to
email and use an iPod.
Ozzy will guest on an upcoming WWE Raw show, so we get to look forward to that.
